Konstantinos trained as a computational neuroscientist, worked in corporate business development and at a biotechnology venture fund before starting Nevro Corp (NYSE:NVRO). A surgically placed brain targeting interface, using electrical signals to enable return to normal function, is the core technology his team developed at Nevro. As the Founder and CEO, Konstantinos, led product design, clinical development and introduced the first product (an FDA approved chronic pain therapy) to market.
Currently, Dr. Alataris is leading the development of personalized therapies using noninvasive brain interfaces. With his core team from Nevro and the support of leading academic researchers, he co-founded Vorso Corp, a venture backed start up. The company is currently in the clinical development phase for multiple indications.
Konstantinos, has also worked in drug device combination products (immediate acting neurology products), neurosurgery and wearable diagnostics.
Dr. Alataris received Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering with focus in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Southern California. He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.
